Coquelin: Arsenal can be SPECIAL this season

Francis Coquelin believes Arsenal are capable of ‘something special’ this season.

The Gunners picked up just one point from their first two Premier League games this season but Arsene Wenger’s men are now on seven match winning run.

Coquelin played 90 minutes as the Gunners smashed Ludogorets 6-0 in their Champions League clash at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

And the Frenchman believes the strength of the Gunners’ squad this season means they can do ‘something special’ on all four fronts.

‘There’s a good buzz around the squad, you can see it,’ Coquelin told BT Sport.

‘It’s not just the starting XI but the players coming on. At the weekend with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keiran Gibbs coming on, they put a shift in.

‘That’s going to be the main thing to do this season, to involve everyone and all be on the same board. We can do something special this year.’

Perez for Alexis, Gabriel for Koscielny; likely line up against Ludogorets

Hello…

Arsenal tackle Ludogorets tomorrow and a comfortable win will see us go top of the table depending on the outcome of the PSG vs Basel game…

An Arsenal win is expected from all and sundry and it would be a massive surprise if we failed to pull it off…

From a team news point of view, the manager says that everyone who was available against Swansea will be available tomorrow night…

Ramsey and Giroud are injury-free but not yet match fit…

As far as I’m concerned, some players looked pretty jaded towards the end of the Swansea game, and off the back of the International games most of them played in, it would be no surprise to see some rotation tomorrow…

That said, I do think Arsene Wenger would take a more pragmatic approach and resist the temptation to make wholesale changes simply because he doesn’t want to take to many risks at a time… I’m sure winning is first on his agenda as he showed when he made no alterations to the team that faced Basel…

Essentially, I’m saying he’ll have to make some changes for the sake of avoiding fatigue, and keeping some players happy, but not too many…

Here’s how I think we will line up:

Ospina

Bellerin          Mustafi          Gabriel      Gibbs

Cazorla          Elneny

Chamberlain              Ozil                   Iwobi

Perez

It’s really difficult to predict because of all the decent options we have, but I think this is close to what we will see tomorrow…

More precise info tomorrow as news breaks… COYG!!!
