Arsenal to beat Hull or my name isn’t…

Normal football is back…lol!

Team news:

We heard news that Ozil was struggling with his knee in Germany just at the start of the interlull, and faster than you could say flash, 6 months out began making the rounds. Current reports suggest he may be out for just half of that time though.

Laurent Koscielny has an inflamed Achilles tendon (the tendon behind the ankle) and may be out ‘long term’.

Calum Chambers is suspended for this game after accumulating five yellow cards.

This all serves to leave our defence threadbare for this game, but I honestly would love to see Hector Bellerin get some game time, so I’m not really complaining. Center back might be the main issue as Monreal is not a natural there, and we really can’t predict what kind of performance he will have there.

The good news is… Theo SWalcott’s back…yay!

While he probably wont play today given he played 45 minutes yesterday for the under-21s, we should see him in the starting line-up soon enough.

Gnabry and Diaby are also fit, and also featured along side Walcott on Friday.;

Ramsey is expected back in a week or two.

Form:

Arsenal are sitting in 8th position, three places above hull with just one point separating the two teams. We have 10 points after an unremarkable start to the season.

With the fire power at our disposal, we really should be scoring more goals. Our defence hasn’t been at its best, and clean sheets seem to come at a premium, so if we want to win games, then we simply have to score more goals.

Wilshere is in good form for country at the moment, and it would do us a world of good if he can replicate that today.

Let’s not forget that Wilshere is a very good passer of the ball and is blessed with remarkable vision. Scholes says he’s added accurate long balls to his game so let’s see how this benefits the likes of Alexis, The Ox and Welbeck.

Finally:

I predict a win for us today. Not only, but we should thoroughly dominate the game and scored at least 2.

Wilshere said we have enough to make Ozil’s absence somewhat attenuated. I agree with him on that but its Wilshere that has to make that happen because hes our go to guy in midfield at the moment.

Hopefully Del Bosque’s attempts to convert Santi Cazorla to a right back (lol) will not see Wenger play him there today, and with the midfield ticking, our strikers should have a field day.

COYG!!!
